Showing off your beams

If you've got beams, show 'em, that's what I say.

The amount of envy I feel for the owners of these houses is bordering

on inappropriate. (Extra benefit - they're perfect for hanging a swing... see last picture)

Jei turite balkius, parodykite juos! Žaliai pavydžiu šių namų šeimininkams.

Papildomas privalumas - galima pakabinti supynes... (žr. paskutinį paveikslėlį)

Boyz' rooms

At some point in my routine image search I created a

folder called 'boyz' rooms'. I think I was inspired by a living room in
Lonny magazine (see below). I guess it would be difficult to define a
masculine aesthetic, yet there are some recurring elements in these rooms
that make them seem boyish.

Lonny mag

Desire to Inspire

IT girl: Ariele Alasko

I think I just had one of those blogger crushes.

This girl is über cool.

She builds tables and lamps and has tiled the kitchen herself.

Her favorite things in life are 'big tools, old wood, good pasta, and

dumpster diving'. How about that.

Her home (and workshop) has that artsy-dreamy but by

no means sweet atmosphere. Time-kissed surfaces, picturesque objects

and compositions. Love.

Laiko paliesti

 paviršiai, daiktai su istorijomis. Tobula.

Ariele builds tables from salvaged wood.

She also decorated this charming restaurant.

Green on the inside

Quote Morgan from The Brick House,

'Plants make a room. This truth I live by, but somehow can’t enforce around the house.'

Same story with me. The last picture in this selection reflects the highest

point of my efforts so far...

Homedit

'Augalai sukuria kambarį. Gyvenime vadovaujuosi šia tiesa, bet namie kažkodėl

nepavyksta jos pritaikyti', neseniai parašė Morgan iš The Brick House.

Su manimi yra lygiai taip pat. Paskutinė nuotrauka šiame rinkinyje

atspindi didžiausią mano pasiekimą naminių žalumynų srityje. Kol kas...

Sweetness and light: photographer Michael Graydon

Simply delightful.

My latest discovery photographer Michael Graydon

makes these homes seem so cozy and inviting, as if the owner was your

best friend. There is also an amazing sense of peace.

The pastel composition below is so in tune with this summer's

fashion trend it hurts!

Naujausias mano atradimas - fotografas Michael Graydon.

Jo nufotografuoti namai atrodo tokie jaukūs, tarsi savininkai būtų tavo

geriausi draugai. Ir tas nuostabus ramybės jausmas. Ach.

Pastelinė kompozicija viršuje idealiai atspindi didžiausią

 šios vasaros mados tendenciją!
