Laughingly we called it the Twilight table. The color is so chimerical - either black, blue
or grey, depending on how the light falls on it. I'm sure there are many more
grey color experiments down the line!
These Eames Eiffel Shell chairs are one among the most popular mid century designs.
Numerous design aficionados invest their hard-earned money into the originals, however,
there are thousands of replicas produced in China for those who simply like the shape and
do not care so much about the quality of the materials. The popularity of these chairs is
so great that it makes me wonder: Can a classic become too trendy? Surely there's a
risk of it becoming its own parody?
The Eiffel chairs look great in modern interiors such as pictured below, but I think it
would be interesting to see them in a different setting - more classical perhaps? Could
that be pulled off I wonder...It would make an interesting challenge! I also really like
them paired with a rustic timeworn table (see below).
On my list, there a few feelings quite so good as waking up in a sunlit bedroom
and knowing that the day is mine to enjoy - no rushing about with errands, no
emails, no traffic jams. A long breakfast, followed by a long walk on the beach
or in the forrest... You know what I mean, right? These bedrooms are bathed in
sunlight and that lazy summer feeling.
These seaside homes feature many elements emblematic of coastal style: white walls,
pale canvas sofas and curtains, natural fiber rugs and rustic coffee tables or boxes.
Familiar? Yes. Boring? If done right, never!
Šiuose namuose daug pajūrio stiliui būdingų elementų: baltos sienos, šviesūs, lyg išblukę
audiniai, natūralaus pluošto kilimai, grubūs sendinti kavos staleliai arba dėžės. Pažįstama?
Taip. Nuobodu? Jei teisingai padaryta, niekada!
