These Eames Eiffel Shell chairs are one among the most popular mid century designs.
Numerous design aficionados invest their hard-earned money into the originals, however,
there are thousands of replicas produced in China for those who simply like the shape and
do not care so much about the quality of the materials. The popularity of these chairs is
so great that it makes me wonder: Can a classic become too trendy? Surely there's a
risk of it becoming its own parody?
The Eiffel chairs look great in modern interiors such as pictured below, but I think it
would be interesting to see them in a different setting - more classical perhaps? Could
that be pulled off I wonder...It would make an interesting challenge! I also really like
them paired with a rustic timeworn table (see below).

Dizainerių Eames sukurtos "Eifelio" kėdės - vienas populiariausių amžiaus vidurio dizaino
pavyzdžių. Daugybė šio dizaino gerbėjų leidžia sunkiai uždirbtus pinigėlius kėdžių originalams,
o tiems, kam tiesiog patinka forma, bet medžiagų kokybė nelabai rūpi, pagaminama tūkstančiai
pigių kopijų. Šios kėdės tokios populiarios, kad man net kyla klausimas: ar gali "klasikinis"
dizaino kūrinys būti per daug populiarus? Juk yra rizikos, kad jis taps savo parodija?
Manau, sutiksite, kad Eifelio kėdės atrodo puikiai moderniuose interjeruose, kokius čia
sudėjau.Bet būtų įdomu pamatyti juos kitokioje aplinkoje - pavyzdžiui, labiau klasikiniame
interjere? Tai būtų įdomus iššūkis interjero dizaineriui! Dar man labai patinka, kai jos
derinamos su senu, kirvarpų sugraužtu stalu (pavyzdys apačioje).
