I am fascinated by old mirrors. I know some superstitious folks say
they are dangerous "energy vampires", but I couldn't care less.
They add so much charm to any interior.
So this weekend I intended to try and age a mirror or two,
to get this much sought after "antique" affect.
However, removing the protective paint coating on the mirror's back turned out to be quite a challenge. It wouldn't react to either paint remover or
acid. So we just scratched the edges and painted them black.
I like the result, it's graphic and bold.

I just borrow a couple looms and want to give weaving a try. I'm excited to make a neat scarf, but I love the organic and natural feel that comes from a handmade loom. I have a few different tutorials for making different looms saved on Pinterest, I might need to experiment with different types!
